Reflections for 6/7th November
10:54 PM

The meetings so far has been one of the best so far. It allows us to understand one and other better and also steers us away from the mundane meetings. One down side however is that it could breed potential rivalry.

The part to do with 'yes/no/maybe' is a potential ground for breeding rivalries. Although the intent is to allow us to better know ourselves, i fear that while in the process of doing so, we just show the other unpleasant side of us like 'the beast in us is unleashed'. Perhaps the discussion should stop when the argument gets very heated up.

The photo essay is great by itself. It allows us to express our thoughts freely and provides a platform for us to think out of the box and infer from the picture. Perhaps if this was done when we were much younger, we would have scored well in History!

The trip to ACM was superb. During my other school trips I would just take a small walk and not even bother to see anything. My sole purpose was to just 'get it over and done with' for I wanted to get home early so that I could do anything I want. This time round, i had a purpose in mind and although I already got the artefact the very moment I started, i felt very intrigued by all those artefacts. I had greater fun in helping my friends find artefacts as well. In a way, that was some kind of bonding as well. Miss Azyanti did a great job by being a 'guide' for us throughout our experience at the ACM. Through her and my peers, I managed to broaden my horizons and learn a lot of things that I was previously oblivious to. For example Muslims customs and all. It was a great learning experience.

However, one thing that I do not think was great was about the groups that we are in. We have lots of interaction going on in the group but not in the entire team. In that sense we cannot say that we are 100% bonded or something close to that. We can only be said to be bonded in the groups we are in. Worst still, the groups are going to remain for the entire Yunnan trip so its like bonding sessions only within the group.

All in all, i felt that everything was great. Although the interaction between the groups were limited, some still existed and I just want to say that I cannot wait for the trip to come! (And oops, i've yet to pack my luggage!)
